Founder & Developer
A software engineer for 8 years, I have worked across different fields (medical imaging, metallurgy, mobility…). With Ryokô Planner, I am connecting my craft and my passion for Japan in an entrepreneurial project. After several trips there, I wanted to highlight less popular destinations that still offer outstanding experiences.
Ryokô Planner was born from a very personal experience: when I wanted to plan a trip to Kyushu to propose to my partner, I found myself facing a real headache. Between dozens of tabs, conflicting advice, and generic tools that were never designed for Japan, building a coherent itinerary quickly became exhausting. So I created the app I wish I had at that moment: a dedicated mobile app that brings maps, itineraries, practical guides, and authentic places together in one place, so travelers can focus on the trip rather than the planning headache.
Ryokô Planner is a mobile app dedicated to planning trips to Japan. It combines itinerary planning, an interactive map, practical guides and carefully selected places.
Yes. Core planning features are free and let you prepare a trip from start to finish. Ryokô Premium unlocks the full practical guide, the railway pass simulator and the pre-departure checklist.
Planning a trip is always a little stressful, and it is easy to feel overwhelmed by online information. Ryokô Planner aims to be self-sufficient: destinations adapted to your profile, useful information, and the option to start from another user's shared itinerary if needed.
Because I know the ground and Japan attracts many travelers every year, with specific transport, culture and travel patterns. Focusing on one destination lets us go deeper than generic trip planners. If demand is there, expanding Ryokô Planner to other countries is not off the table.
Places are chosen from my own trips or long research to suggest stops worth the detour. Some gems may still be missing, which is why users can request new places in the app.
No. You can plan itineraries and explore destinations for free. Premium is optional for advanced tools and the full guide.
